Experience an epic primate safari on your 4 days Mgahinga and Bwindi gorilla trek. This incredible safari is a time to bond with nature’s formidable primates that are rare and endangered. You will also take a trip down memory lane as you interact with the Batwa as they take you through their history and past life.
While in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, keep it cool and relaxed as you venture in the territories of the endangered mountain gorillas. Further south in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, you will keep your eyes peeled to the bamboo trees for the rare golden monkeys. Now that you have a full overview on what to expect, let us dive straight into the details of your itinerary.
Day by Day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport and be picked up by our guide driver. After a short briefing on how your trip will go, you will hit the road to Bwindi. Along the way, you will have a lunch stopover and enjoy the local cuisines as you interact with the locals.
Proceed with your journey afterwards and by evening, you will be arriving at your booked lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have dinner and rest for the night ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
At daybreak, you will be served an early breakfast to prepare you for the day’s activities. Our driver guide will then transfer you to the park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing. You will then head to the forest in the lead of a guide ranger after being grouped into groups of 8 and assigned a gorilla family.
The search for the endangered mountain gorillas will then begin, and within 2-4 hours you will encounter them. While in their presence, you will be given an hour to watch them go by with their chores. After this encounter, you will head back to the head offices and return to the lodge for lunch and check out. In the afternoon, you will head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and by evening you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and Batwa cultural experience
In the morning, you will have breakfast and be transferred to the briefing center in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. All treks always begin with a briefing about the rules and regulations, and the golden monkey trekking is no exception. After your pre-trekking briefing, you will be guided by your guide ranger through the tropical forests and bamboo forest. On a trail of bamboo shoot leftovers, you will get to the rare golden monkeys.
Experience these primates in their natural habitat as they play and feed while others jump from tree to tree all in just an hour. After your experience, you will return to the offices where our guide driver will take you back to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a Batwa cultural experience where you will explore the lifestyle of these people considered the forest keepers of modern time. Their history dates back centuries ago and you will be fed in on it by their elders. Interact with their medicine men to learn different survival skills and how they survived in the forest for a long time. As you conclude your stay with them, you will be entertained by their cultural dancers with their traditional songs and dances. You will return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Departure to Entebbe airport, via equator
The last day of your 4 days Mgahinga and Bwindi gorilla trek will start with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and journey to Entebbe for your departure.
Have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for lunch and have a photo moment. Henceforth, proceed on your journey and by evening, you will be arriving at Entebbe International Airport and take your flight back home.
