Itinerary details
Your 6 days Uganda safari will take you to the prominent national parks of Kibale, Bwindi Impenetrable, and Queen Elizabeth. These parks harbor a variety of flora and fauna from the endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees to the numerous wildlife including the rare tree-climbing lions. You will visit the Isunga community at the edge of Kibale National Park to explore the crater lakes and local coffee industries that process raw coffee to powder coffee using local materials.
You will learn about the livelihood of the Batooro culture in the areas that surround Kibale National Park. This safari will leave you with sweet memories of Uganda as you take on different activities like game drives, boat cruises, gorilla trekking, and chimpanzee tracking. Now that you have an overview of what to expect, let’s dive straight into the details.
Day by Day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Kibale National Park home to the 13 primates. This journey will take you through different towns, roadside markets, and plantations of tea and bananas. You will arrive at your lodge in the park, have lunch, and thereafter you can have an optional community tour. The Isunga culture community tours will take you on an exploration adventure of some crater lakes, Isunga homemade coffee, tea estates, and many others. You will be driven back to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will head to the park offices in the Kanyanchu visitor center where you receive a briefing about this morning’s chimpanzee tracking experience. This briefing will take you through the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking. After this per-tracking briefing, you will be led by a ranger guide to the forests of Kibale in search of chimpanzees.
You will encounter several other primates while on your tracking journey such as olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus, L’Hoest monkeys, Grey-cheeked mangabeys, and more of the birdlife. On locating the chimpanzee habitats, you will spend an hour in their presence following their daily life activities and this will create everlasting memories. Our driver guide will then transfer you back to your lodge for lunch. You will check out immediately after your lunch and be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will pass by the Bigodi wetland sanctuary and take a short walk in the wetland as you enjoy the beautiful sounds of birds singing and spot a number of primates such as colobus monkeys, olive baboons, among others. You will also enjoy the beautiful scenes of the green tea plantations that carpet the land on your journey to the park. In the evening, you will arrive at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
You will be served breakfast early in the morning and after our driver will take you on a morning game drive in the park. You will explore the savannah plains of the park for a chance to spot wildlife such as Uganda kobs, warthogs, spotted hyenas, lions, elephants, buffalos, and more in the comfort of your vehicle. The game drive will last about 3 hours before heading back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will take on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you explore the aquatic side of the park. You will spot several water-loving animals and birds like hippos, crocodiles, pelicans, elephants, isolated buffalos, Egrets, fish eagles, and others. In the evening our driver will transfer you back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Batwa community tour
After breakfast, you will check out of your and our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is home to the rare mountain gorillas and other wildlife. This park hosts the largest population of mountain gorillas in the country.
Upon arrival, you will have lunch at your lodge and head out to the Batwa communities for a cultural and community tour. This cultural encounter will take you down the history of the forest keepers the Batwa pygmies. These people are the forest keepers of Bwindi as they lived in the park for a very long time before it was established into a national park. You will learn several skills like survival skills and learn about the healing herbs from the cultural medicine man. You will head back to your lodge after your community tour and cultural encounter for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi tour
Wake up with a smile ready to meet the gentle giants, the mountain gorillas. You will take breakfast and a short drive to the park offices for a pre-trekking briefing. This exercise is very important since it is meant to protect you and the endangered mountain gorillas. The park officials will recite the rules and regulations of trekking, dress code, materials needed like a camera, assigning the park ranger guide, and the expected code of conduct. You will be categorized into groups of 8 people and allocated a guide ranger who will lead you through the impenetrable forests to the mountain gorilla habitats.
You will be given an hour in the presence of these beautiful giants capturing photos and recording videos. You will also enjoy the beautiful sounds of nature and views of other smaller primates like black and white colobus monkeys and olive baboons while on your trekking journey.
You will then head back to your lodge for lunch and our driver will take you down to Kabale district for a tour of Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon. You will enjoy several activities like canoeing, and boat cruise or visit the 29 islands on the lake. This Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure
Your last day of your 6 days Uganda safari will begin with a delicious breakfast before checking out of your lodge. Our driver guide will then transfer you back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator in Kibuye for a photo moment and lunch will be en route. By evening you will be in Kampala ready for your flight back home.
